Sideshow is looking for a Level 1 IT Support Technician. The ideal candidate will have prior IT support experience and will ensure that all end user equipment and services are in working order while being knowledgeable in MacOS, Windows 7 and 10, iOS and Android. Must have knowledge in maintaining and troubleshooting desktops and laptops, printers, and a variety of wireless devices. The IT Help Desk technician will also act as the first point of contact for employee IT requests including tracking issues and taking ownership of problems and seeing them to resolution.


  • Ensures that Sideshow staff are provided efficient and timely first level IT support for problems with computers, mobile devices, and network connectivity.
  • Setup new user accounts, e-mail accounts/mailboxes and group membership within Active Directory and Office 365.
  • Image and configure new user workstations and laptops running Windows and MacOS.
  • Perform hands-on and remote troubleshooting including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems and applications.
  • Update internal Wiki knowledgebase with troubleshooting steps and instructions into the solutions.
  • Preventative maintenance including software updates and patches, checking and cleaning of workstations, laptops, printers and peripherals.
  • Provide technical support and maintenance for conference rooms/collaborative workspaces and offices utilizing audiovisual systems.
  • Perform post-resolution follow-up to help requests.


  • Minimum Associate degree in Computer Science or two years of IT related experience.
  • Knowledge of basic computer hardware, including laptops, PCs, switches, wireless access points.
  • Knowledge of basic networking including understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS.
  • Experience with desktop and server operating systems, including Windows 10, Windows Server, MacOS, Android, and iOS.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based applications such as Office 365.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening, and questioning skills with the ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
  • Strong documentation skills and ability to follow manuals and instructions.
  • Ability to absorb and retain information quickly with a keen attention to detail.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
