DP/Cinematographer
Sideshow’s Media Team is seeking a Director of Photography. We work on a variety of videos that involve many different environments and techniques. You will be responsible for visual representation inclusive of overseeing photography, lighting, camera work, imagery and much more. We are looking for someone who has an eye for design and is able to work both in the studio and on location.

Required Skills
3-5 years camera experience preferred.
Ability to function on a team, as well as work independently.
Ability to take criticism and be prepared to redo or adjust a setup.
Ability to productively function in a creative work environment.
Strong sense of design and composition
Ability to work with the RED Scarlet-W, GH5, and other similar cameras
Determine lighting requirements on set

Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate: Understand and implement the visual style and tone of the project. Help interpret the script visually, ensuring the cinematography aligns with the overall narrative goals.
Design Visual Concepts: Develop and create the visual look of the project, including camera angles, lens choices, framing, lighting, and color palettes to enhance mood and emotion.
Lighting Design: Design and oversee lighting setups to create the desired effects, mood, and atmosphere. Ensure lighting complements the overall aesthetic of the project and aligns with the director’s vision.
Shot Composition: Ensure effective shot composition, focus, and depth of field to enhance the storytelling. Manage the timing of shots and visual sequences to guide the narrative flow.
Visual Effects Collaboration: Collaborate with the VFX team to ensure visual effects integrate seamlessly with live-action footage.
Budget and Scheduling: Work within production budgets and timelines, making adjustments as necessary to balance creative vision with practical constraints.
Post-Production Collaboration: Collaborate with the editor and colorist during post-production to ensure the footage meets the intended visual style and quality.
